Victory Outreach Manchester is a base church of Victory Outreach International for the UK region.
Since 1967, Pastor Sonny and Juile Arguinzoni established Victory Outreach, which grew from one church to a worldwide network of over 600 churches and ministries, with locations across America and in 30 countries from the Philippines to the Netherlands. We have grown into one of the largest inner-city ministries in the world meeting the needs of people from all walks of life.
In October 2003, Pastor Paul and Vicky Lloyd arrived in Manchester with some clothes and a few belongings to take on the work of Victory Outreach Manchester.
Victory Outreach Manchester has increased steadily year after year, laying down firm foundations of beliefs and expectations that people are important; and that no problem is too difficult for God to change. Drug addicts, alcoholics and gang members have had their lives completely changed in the Church, helping them to rediscover their dignity.
Young men and women have found a place to belong and fulfil their destiny and many families are now looking forward to a bright future. This measurable success has been brought about through solid Biblical teaching, an emphasis on relationships, and by providing people with opportunities to put into practice what they have learned.
Throughout every move that the Church has made, from its humble beginnings in a small room in Sugden’s Sports Centre, to the function suite in the Novotel Hotel on Portland Street, to the Buckingham Suite in the Palace Hotel, God has been faithful. In December 2008 and in an incredible way, a door of opportunity was opened which enabled the Victory Outreach Church of Manchester to move into its very own multi-purpose building at 19 Liverpool Street in Salford, Greater Manchester. In the space of just a couple of months, with much of the work put in by the Church’s faithful congregation, the facility was transformed from an empty shell into a high quality place of worship.
The future vision of Victory Outreach Manchester is to build a base that will not just impact on the city of Manchester, but to create a modern model of worship which will be replicated in other cities throughout the U.K, and ultimately the world!
